Hello …

Hello,

I have heard of blogs for a while now, and have even read some on a regular basis.  But I thought that now is the time that I join this craze.

Let me start with my job situation.  I went for a job interview about 2 weeks ago now and secured a job (at Subway).  I was meant to go for an orientation “hour” before I can even start work.  However, due to illness on the manager’s behalf, I still have not been to the orientation.  My next “attempt” will be on 20th October – with any luck I might be able to start work soon.

Oh, another thing that happened today … I almost got run over by a truck.  Yes you heard correctly.  All I was doing was driving, minding my own business, when I noticed that a truck was starting to vear into my lane.  I didn’t think anything of this to start with because we were on the freeway, going around a corner.  Next thing I knew the truck was coming further into my lane.  So I slammed on the horn and slowed down and he pulled back into his lane.  Then he started coming over again (before there was enough room to come over).  The same situation ensued and the same result ensued.  Finally, the truck was able to come across safely. 

I was shaking like you wouldn’t believe after that – it was soo scary.  I’ve only had my license for a month!

I also want to use this page as a promotional platform for my facebook group “the funny street sign society”.  If you don’t have facebook I strongly urge you to join – it is so much fun and you can keep in contact with people you haven’t seen in years, without the awkwardness of an email/phone conversation.
